Holly Tree is situated in a lovely semi-rural location called Tendring Green with the benefit of easy access onto the nearby A120 linking to the A12 and also to the A133 for Colchester or the East “sunshine Coast”. 11 miles from Colchester, it is only 5 miles to Manningtree which is a possible 58 mn train journey to London Liverpool Street. Tendring Green, Goose Green and Tendring Heath compose the village of Tendring.

If you are new to the area then exploring your surroundings will be a real treat. Only ten minutes away by car is the beautiful Dedham Vale and ‘Constable Country’. Extensive walks plus river activities are also on offer, and yes that includes being able to canoe/kayak, if you obtain a river licence like ourselves, and taking in the sights and sounds along the River Stour is a real pleasure. You may wish to follow the B1035 in the opposite direction for links to any of the east ‘Sunshine Coast’ seafronts with the most beautiful Essex beaches on Walton-on-the-Naze or Frinton-on-Sea
