The time has come to journey through time and discover how new meets old in this unique and charming cottage, the present is spectacular but the future could be yours to craft further.  Before you venture inside, one cannot escape what one should describe as a lush front garden that has certainly taken years to master but seconds to appreciate. Nature offers such a wonderful blessing caressing all your senses all at once.

The exposed brickwork and beams, solid wood flooring and Welsh Quarry tiles are most likely to catch your eye as you enter. Your attention will soon turn to your right as the large open space lounge offers views into the main garden. Indeed you are never far away from the most peaceful idyllic views. You may sit with a glass of wine and a good book or maybe you wish to enjoy watching the colours in the sky as the sun sets. From a modern staircase please ascend into that special new space made for you, greeted by a light spacious landing step into the main bedroom, a haven of peace and tranquility complimented by another stunning view into that blissfully green garden full of life. Enjoy the sunrise in the morning as the basking light wishes you to have a great day, pick up a pair of binoculars and follow so many varieties of birds enjoying a peaceful existence or maybe admiring the horses in the nearby field, if you are lucky a glimpse of the local deer passing by. One could spend hours enjoying that special view and there is a great alchemy between indoor and outdoor offered by both lounge and master bedroom, This “new” wing has complimented the old cottage and mastered the definition of “living space”.

New meets Old…

Let’s now explore this wonderful home further, leaving the lounge space behind you, stepping into the oldest past of the house, head straight on and you will find the kitchen complete with modern country style units next to the traditional “Rayburn ” solid fuel cooker and heater. Again new meets old and this clever Rayburn system not only helps to provide continuous energy for cooking but also service the cleverly designed water system for underfloor heating.

Further along the breakfast room with its log burner is somewhere you will pass many an hour, hypnotised by the dancing flames or just share good evening conversations.

There are two parts to the house, which is why there are two staircases; the old cottage is separated by the chimney breast and offers perfect privacy from the newer side of the property, it is very handy for people staying over or for growing teenagers.

Ascend onto the old staircase and discover two stunning quirky bedrooms separated by an equally enchanting landing full of charm. The attic space oozes character with architectural features with the abundance of beams and once again, beautiful views onto the surrounding garden.

Inside meets Outside…

From the kitchen you may step into the garden room or conservatory, wonderfully insulated and used all year round. Gladstone is not only “New” meeting “Old” but also harmony between inside and outside space. The garden is the pride and joy of the present owner, providing sunny and shady areas for all time of the day and any day of the year. The pond area offers a haven of peace and tranquillity. It is a special spot to sit while admiring the light disappearing behind the silhouette of the cottage. During the day the garden also offers the possibility to grow your own fruit and vegetables with a dedicated vegetable garden and a full size greenhouse. The workshop and front double garage have electricity, water and the right drainage for further extensions. Imagine the possibilities ground of this size may offer to your imminent or established family and circle of friends. Visualize the birthday parties, entertaining and just the sheer pleasure of enjoying those precious times together as a family.
